Life of a bubble maker

Denise Seahorse

Woke up with blocked sinuses this morning. Not good. Tried to get in on the first dive. Managed to get to 8m but it was a struggle. Not wanting to get stuck down there I came back up and binned the dive. Seems that it was quite good with some sharks around. Second dive was Melissa’s Garden, a very nice hard coral reef. Managed to get down with lots of squeaking. Great dive with some clown fish as well. Changed tanks to a 15l as I’m struggling with air while using the camera, especially in a current. Third dive today was a nice wall dive with some soft coral called Ruva’s Island. Glad of the extra air in the tank as I was trying to take photos of a Seahorse at 25m. Managed to get this OK shot in the end. Lots more clown fish and a mushroom coral pipefish in the anemone. Lots of nice soft coral on the walls. After the dive we had a walk up the Ruvas Island to have a great view over the lagoons. Went on the night dive at Galaxy under the pier. Only very shallow and not too much to see. Lots of very small lionfish and a few nudies. A couple of banded and red shrimps and a Phantom velvet fish. Feeling sore this evening. Bit of a line in in the morning which will be welcome relief from the 6am starts.
