Wood Nymph
If you go down in the woods today
You'd better go in disguise.....
.....in case you get blipped!
A lovely, long day around Edinburgh today. It started with coffee and cake in St Giles' Cathedral while Kat went to an appointment. We love going in there but why, oh why won't folk pay the £2 requested for the privilege to take photos in this glorious building? It's less than the price of a coffee and the memory of the place through the photos lasts much longer!
Next back on the bus and off to Brunsfield. Kat wanted to by a bike. She went to the shop and had a test cycling round the park while we looked at the shops. We met up with her and also her partner for lunch at Seeds for the Soul, a vegan cafe where she is guaranteed to get a good choice of things on the menu without milk. From there we went down to the canal and pushed the bike home along the tow path.
As if that wasn't enough, we went for a walk along the Water of Leith in the early evening. That's where I came across this wood nymph sitting up in the tree overhanging the river! The greens are so vibrant in the woodland at the moment.
14,500 steps, goodness!
