2019 Friday — Our Friend Patricia

Today we went to visit our dear friend Patricia. She has been like a mom to both of us. She is 88 years young.

About 3-years-ago Patricia and her daughter and son-in-law bought a house together in a new community north of us called Eastvale.

Patricia is not very happy living there. She is very lonely. Her daughter and son-in-law leave early in the morning for work and don’t get home till evening and Patricia is very lonely. She gave-up her driver’s license a year or two ago, so she is stuck at home.

She is just far enough away from her home church in Corona that not many people come to visit her.

She is a good sport about all of this new living situation, but it is still a bit sad to watch.

It was very good to visit her. We need to visit her more.
