Who Are you??? Oooh Oooh Ooooh oooh

Cultural night tonight.   Well sort of.

Himself and I took ourselves up to Glasgow about 4.30  Popped into our "Local" and found ourselves drowned by 6'11" Glasgow Warrior fans.  Seat was confined to the bar, and the banged elbows until they all started drifting away to the match.  (It was a big match apparently).

Tell you what I'd rather have a pub full of Rubgy Supporters than a pub full of Celtic Fans.   The streets were awash in a sea of green hoops... as they celebrated their "win"  (I;'m not sure what they won, but it was "big" apparently).

Glasgow Warriors did not fare so well - but you would not have known what the score was.  There is a lot less in your face ranting with Rugby sorts.    They take the sport for what it is. 90 minutes of exercising their lungs and then 90 minutes of exercising their diaphrams in the pub.

At 7.30 we headed to City Halls for an evening with Jon Ronson.  I'd been to see him before, but not himself.  He was curious as to what to expect.

Tonight he was talking about his book "The Last Days of Autumn"; the story of a porn star who's suicide sparked Ronson's interest in the part social media / porn companies / everyone had played in the part of her death.

He's a very engaging man; prone to jumping from subject to subject - in the way of a comedian, but tonight he had audio and video inserts - so he needed to stick to his scripts.

You definitely walk away from his talks thinking.... he spurs you into moral considerations.

You always also walk away wondering about the people who ask questions at these shows.   I'm not sure what they are trying to prove - possibly that they are more intellectual than Jon, and everyone else around them.

That part in itself is very entertaining.
