You Laugh, Cause You're Loaded
Today himself and I took ourselves up to Glasgow to the Homeshow event. Who the hell would pay £13 a ticket when there are so many free offers about.
We found the secateurs we were looking for - we bought a packet 10 years ago and they have only just failed. Someone on the stand asked if we were a plant. And I looked at her and said "all the plants, I use them on all the plants.... "No," she said "are you a plant, set here to encourage people to buy these". "Nope", I said, "we bought them 10 years ago, replaced the blade once, lost the other replacement blade, and only now - we need to replace it again. We came here to buy them again". And she bought them, and we bought them. And someone else listening bought them. :-) the man was very happy . Offered me another pair of even bigger ones for half price, but i didn't need them.
We both feel like we are lost again. Having had both the kids around and accommodating ourselves around them again - in a short space of time, we forgot how to occupy ourselves.
Not to worry - a wee trip up to Glasgow, a wee stop for coffee and then a wander round then allotment... we remembered :-)
8 years ago - news had just gone round all of us old time blippers that one of the originals, Molly, or Amalarian had died. Molly's death was sudden and shocked us all to our core.
Blip became a sadder place because of her absence - Molly greeted new blippers and must have spent a minimum of 2 hours every day chatting back and forth with other blippers. I promised to be "More Molly" a few years back, but I haven't . It obviously takes a special person to be that dedicated and not loose your mojo for Blip and speaking to other people. but I'll try again.
