The Opposite View

Don’t know what happened to this day.   woke up in the middle off the night to a bat flying about our bedroom….finally caught it after trying to direct it to an open window or the place it got in.  This morning we plugged up the wee hole between window skylight and roof (ladder on the bed) with foam. ( It’s only been there for 26 years!)   I think it’s the young ones this time of year that are curious..last year we discovered a similar hole when that bat managed to exit by it.
More chores.   Then this afternoon we decided to take a boat ride in our little tin boat to do 2 “errands” (One to Galiano to the mailbox) …well, we got part way around our island on trincomali channel..it was lovely…when the motor acted up and we had to go back slowly and get the bigger boat.  So here we are at our friend’s luxurious home on the very opposite of this 2 mile long island…looking South at Pender and Prevost I think.  His home is also the opposite of our cabin…He’s from California and likes the sun.. We’re vikings and like the north.  Extras…his little dock (with our boat and the folks across,)   And the way up to his house... lots of stairs.   It’s a beautiful piece of earth and I hadn’t been just here for awhile to decided to blip it.
