A spotted Spotted Flycatcher

I actually saw the Spotted Flycatcher before the Wren made it into the photograph to give the impression that it was showing me it had  arrived.

As I took this photo I missed the opportunity of a photo of a Common Sandpiper which was working the brook in front of the Flycatcher.  As I looked down at the Sandpiper it peep peeped in protest then flew off.

Pied Flycatcher was calling nearby as was a Cuckoo with Sand Martin's buzzing around and the Swallows and a couple of Swifts higher in the sky it was a lovely time to be out and it even warmed up a little before I headed home.
