I thought it was OK, but not as good as "Bohemian Rhapsody", which it very much resembled (same director). I suppose he thought the formula worked, do it again! Unlike in BR, the Elton actor (Taron Egerton) was doing the singing; he did his best but it just wasn't the same. The most interesting bit was about his early life as a musical prodigy, but with unsympathetic parents.
