Eyjafjallajökull

In this country Christmas is a family affair, stores, museums, restaurants - everything is closed. If one is not invited to a family event, it's always possible to go for a hike, which is what we did, to Þingvellir again. It is such a beautiful place. On the way there we could see the infamous Eyjafjallajökull, which is very rare from such a distance.
We had a very nice hike to Öxarárfoss and saw only four other people.
It was cold, but no snow, hopefully it will snow tomorrow.
