Little chicks

It turned into a bit of a busy day today.  Off to Stamford this morning, under slight protest, as we were off to our friends farm after lunch with Granny and Grandpa, the appeal of going to the farm was a little greater than going to see Granny and Grandpa, which I felt terrible about.  The strawberries for lunch kind of made up for anything and everything - and in the end there was reticence to leave.

The youngest wasn't in his finest form this morning, having decided to stay awake until about 9pm last night.  Thankfully he had a little sleep in the car after lunch which seemed to sort him out.  Either that or the sheer delight of being able to sit in a few tractors on the farm.  The other delight was the new chicks that have hatched, the youngest wasn't too keen on holding one, but the eldest was quite happy (despite the picture, that isn't the greatest).

On the way home, I decided to call in and see our old childminder, which was just so lovely. It's such a shame we couldn't bring her with us when we moved!  The boys were so delighted to see her - so there were lots of (rather tired) tears as we left.

Home late, eldest asleep, dinner super late for the youngest. Slightly disorganised afternoon, but very nice.
