On the Fence

I thought it was about time I went up to my patch, as it's been a while. It seemed mild but pretty windy, so I put on my jacket to be on the safe side. There were quite a few people around in shorts and t-shirts but I had the last laugh (?) as after a while, the wind got up even more and I was battling rain as well. Given the conditions, I was suprised to see quite a few birds, including a great sighting of a Jay, 4 Swifts flying over and a couple of small groups of Linnets. Despite the conditions I managed a reasonable photo of one of them as it sat on a fence.
