Isla de Lobos
Finally some activity! All Frazers signed up for this Oby Catamaran trip to the shores of Isla de Lobos.
Lobos is only 30mins boat trip from Corralejo and apparently was once part of Fuerteventura being the oldest of the Canary Islands. It was named after its main inhabitants ‘sea wolves’ otherwise known as monk seals. Once the Spanish conquerors came along, they hunted them all to death. A cheerful fact which is printed in large writing on the wall of our hotel restaurant (Hotel is called Bahia De Lobos- ‘Bay of Wolves’). These canary islanders sure know how to cheer up your dinner time :-/
Anyway, we were picked up from the hotel and taken to the port. After a bit of faffing we were aboard and on our way. It was a small Catamaran and the group consisted of 7 Frazers and a poor French couple from Lyon. Hopefully we didn’t spoil their trip too much
