Ship Ahoy!
If there is a seafaring significance in the families that have owned Dawyck House to the ship on their weathervane I have yet to find it despite my cursory late-evening trundle through the internet. Suffice to say I found it most impressive, and the TZ80 coped well with the full zoom from the garden.
However, I am still troubled by variable results on close-up shots, and will need to study the various settings in greater detail. The Meconopsis are at their best just now (extra photo, worked well) and Azalea providing brilliant colour (photos of these were disappointing).
But Rome wasn't built in a day so I'll keep trying and eventually will work out just why the camera thinks I want the edges in focus instead of the centre of the frame...
