Benny Lynch

I was at the Queen's Hall in Dunoon tonight to see David Carswell's play "The Benny Lynch Story".

I only knew the vague outlines of what is a very Scottish and human tragedy (for all involved) but although boxing is far from being my thing I came away very  moved as well as very   impressed by the power of the story and the skill with which it was told and acted. 

The play is on in Greenock, Dundee, Dunfermline, Motherwell, Giffnock and Musselburgh over the next few weeks and if you go, you won't be disappointed.
