Happiness...

Last night we went out into town to watch the football in a pub in town. Our pub of choice had queues to get in, and only if someone came out, would anyone else get in. Our chances of spending at least the entire first half outside were pretty high, so we cut our losses and tried elsewhere.

"Elsewhere" turned out to be a very packed and hot Walkabout! The atmosphere was pretty good - the game, less so! The beginning and end were good but the rest very forgettable. I'm happy Liverpool won, but I would not have lost sleep either way!

After the game, we made a night of it by having drinks in the Cardinal's Hat and our local, the Birdcage, which is where I took this photo of a sign on the wall by the bar! It has undergone a lot of processing by me!

Today has been pretty relaxed - just a quick Tesco trip, then off to Jeri's for a barbecue. We'd hoped for better weather and we all sat inside and watched Paul man the barbie outside in the rain! It was a fun visit!

home and the final tie in the RL Challenge Cup quarter finals to watch on Sky+. It was two teams from the Championship, and was a more entertaining tie than those featuring Super League clubs.

Now going to catch up a couple of little jobs, then watch the latest episode of Chernobyl. Another busy day to come tomorrow...
