the waiting bench

This old bench sits at the top of our driveway.  We've dragged it with us through a few moves and it's held up remarkably well, albeit with a few reinforcements.  Whenever we have people coming to pop in or stay for a bit, we ask that they send a text when on their way up the mountain.  We sit and wait for them on this bench welcoming them to our home and property.  The grandkids especially love it.

It's also where I greet my love most days with drink in hand for him. ;)
