History

I took the photo this morning on a trip to Leeds.
It shows the rooftops of Leeds Kirkgate Market.
A Victorian gem.
Plans for the market were first unveiled in 1850 modelled on Joseph Paxton’s Crystal Palace.
In 1884 M&S opened a Penny Bazaar in the market.
Still a very iconic building today.
Very much a part of the history of Leeds.
