Sword Beach

As the sun goes down...



Edit. The Sword Beach images were taken on the evening of the 5th. Due to a late posting of my Blip they were recorded wrong. I have now added some images from today's parade and service in Ranville.

Ranville was the first village to be liberated. The village and Parachute Regiment paid their respects with a parade and service. I felt honoured witnessing the event.

In extras I have included a young sergeant from the Queen Alexandra Royal Army Nursing Corp attached to the Paras. She looks relaxed but was the first to react and give assistance when a young lad collapsed during the service
