very determined squirrel!

hardly been out today - it is SO cold! Went around the outside of the house to try and get some shots of the lovely birds, but they just disappeared. A few cute snowy squirrel shots but I had to post this one, which was taken through the window. the various pots etc above the feeder are designed to stop the squrrels running along the branch then shinning down the rope to the feeder. Sometimes they are clever enough to work out how to do it without falling off, like this one. Once he had cracked it he did it several times, gorging on the seeds.

Middle niece Debbie popped in so my plan to go for a short sharp walk was foiled and now it is getting dark. 8-10 inches of snow forecast for tonight!!!!

nearly time to start preparing dinner, the horrible brother and his wife are invited. dinner table conversation should be fun!
