Santurtzi docks
We awoke to peace and quiet! The ship is quite noisy when underway, with the engine labouring and the containers and hull rattling and banging so it’s quite a relief when it stops.
As we are docked for 24 hours we set off for the delightful hill behind the town which is a nature reserve called Mount Serantes.
Luckily the weather was gorgeous and we saw Adonis Blue, Swallowtail and Marbled White butterflies amongst many others, and Serapias, Sawfly and Bee orchids and a delightful range of other wild flowers (see extra).
The ship was being loaded up for the return voyage as we got back, and we were met by the takeover captain who told us a big storm is on the way for tomorrow!
Oh well we have to get home.....
