D day boat

I spent most of the morning watching the D day 75th Anniversary events on tv.All very moving especially seeing the veterans laying their wreaths and hearing their stories.
We went down to the library to look at an exhibition of the lead up to D day where the Black Isle played an important part , more info here https://www.ross-shirejournal.co.uk/news/revealed-black-isles-part-in-preparations-for-historic-wartime-turning-point-178026/
The boat in the photo is now named The Shearwater but was originally the ML1085.She is the Uk’s oldest surviving 72ft second world war ,harbour defence motor and was used before and during D day for mine sweeping and then hunting u boats and providing anti aircraft cover. She was rescued from Loch Ness and now lies in Avoch harbour where she is being restored with hope that it will return to Portsmouth and offer accommodation to ex servicemen who are homeless.
