Phew, we have babies

A very wet day again but I did go out to capture some photos of the blue tit family and the starlings. Relieved that there are still lots of babies about as Mrs Pine marten was a very good hunter and her three young ones were well feed.
There were at least five fledgling blue tits in the cherry tree, starlings feeding on the suet block, several flapping goldfinches and two baby Great tits.
I managed to catch up with the washing. Mike and David started to take the wall down and take up the floor in the loft to see what damage the pine martens had done. Lots of feathers and flattened, damp fibre glass and half a bird , mainly the wing , which looks like a woodcock, All the fibre glass will have to come up but at least we’ll have a nice,well insulated roof space when it’s replaced.
