Saintes Catheral

We had intended to have coffee and croissants in the village as it was market day, but decided to make it lunch instead. Then as Mr F wanted to go to the AVF AGM in Saintes, we all came along and wandered round the sights.
After meeting at a bar (water for me, I seem to have become the designated driver!) we went home and Mr F cooked moules frites. Elvis meanwhile went into the garden and bit through all the honeysuckle stems and then pulled the roots out of the ground, running round the garden happy with his prize! He's such a naughty boy!
The photo is of the cathederal Saint-Pierre de Saintes which was supposed to have a spire after it was ransacked by protestants in 1568, but the rebuilding cost too much, so it has to make do with a small dome instead.
