Scolymus Maculatus
... or, Spotted Golden Thistle. With the sheep and the lack of rain, wild flowers are in short supply, so was quite pleased to see clumps of these as I walked down the Land, prickly though they may be. It's a mystery what water they are drawing on, everything is so scorched.
Gratefuls:
- eating sweet plums straight off the tree
- that we have enough water to keep our young trees alive
- Mike beginning to cement the entrance; the deep dust and the loose rocks are lethal when you're trying to keep clean to go somewhere
Off to eat bifanas at Delfina's in a bit, and then the Prayer Course, won't be back till after midnight.
