Twins
.... self-set from previous years' nasturtiums.
It's poured with rain for much of the day, which the garden's been happily drinking. The sun broke through briefly to try and welcome Mrs B off her train and would have succeeded if the train hadn't been running half-an-hour late.
The bank at the back of our garden is so overgrown that these nasturtiums found shelter, but are carrying their own little green umbrellas just in case. Love the splashes of colour they and the rest provide, even through the rain, from yellow, through salmon and orange to vermillion.
This time 40 years ago our First Born was just a few hours old. He and our daughter-in-law are celebrating with a long-weekend in Rome. Happily they have blue skies and hot sunshine. Nice to have our daughter with us to help celebrate her bro's big birthday.
Thanks to BikerBear Anni for hosting the Flower Friday challenge - from wherever in the world she now is!
