Bald Eagle State Park in the Summertime
Now that it's summertime, for all practical purposes, it's time to go swimming! Our first swim of the year was at Bald Eagle State Park. The second was at Whipple Dam, where the water was colder. And our third swim took us back to Bald Eagle, where things were, as you can see in the photo, rather low-key.
The water might have been just a tad cleaner than it was the last time we were here; if you can believe it, it has not rained in the past several days, which might just be a record for the new rainforest weather we've been experiencing in recent years in the Keystone State.
But for now, things were placid and the day was sunny, with occasional variable cloudiness, and a corona around the sun. Children were playing in the water and on the sand. Couples sat quietly. In pavilions nearby, groups enjoyed picnics. Welcome to summertime in Pennsylvania!
The soundtrack: Mungo Jerry, In the Summertime.
