Boxing Day
3 years 66days
I've written this entry already- I'd been told it had been published even! But it wasn't there when I logged on this morning so here we go again!
We had a wonderful Boxing Day, spent with granny and grandad. Katie was later getting up again, 630. We had a second Christmas morning - the rest of the presents and even the traditional Christmas Day morning bacon butty.
Late morning we packed up and headed out. A quick chat with my aunt and uncle and some of her little cousins before we headed out for the afternoon to York.
We enjoyed a leisurely potter around the city. Our usual riverside walk had to be abandoned on account of it being underwater. we enjoyed a short time through the gardens, my little lady snuggled in the wrap having just woken up. We got ourselves some lunch before we started in a couple of the sales. Katie was extremely keen to go to the Kermit shop (Disney store). She spent her Christmas money on some little princesses for her castle/fairyland, and was also treated to a cuddly princess doll by her grandad.
We walked through the shambles, discovering that quite a few of our usual windowshopping shops were closed, but she loved skipping along the cobbles. We did find that cath kidston was open and that's where she played in the changing room that gave me the background for today's photo.
She was a really good girl during tea, playing with her new princesses and charming the manager. She chattered away from the wrap as we walked back to the car but was only minutes before she went to sleep. I dropped granny and grandad to their house, swapping them for her toys and our rabbits to take to go back to our house. Christmas done with far too quickly.
