happy christmas

Christmas Eve is my favourite day, just lovely family time with the kids. I love leading the kids on the crest of a wave of excitement and cuddles all the way to an exhausted but excited sleep. The ol' Christmas eve magic afterglow usually lasts for me well into Christmas morning.

Between Santa and family, we bagged a sack of presents from the sublime to the ridiculous, including the obligatory chocolate mountain and a few surprises. After oooing and aaaing at santa's goodies at home for a while, we went off to spend some time with Dave's family in the morning then it was off to Gma and Gda for a lovely Christmas meal in the afternoon.
