MonoMonday: Ties
Of the family kind. This document is one I found amongst my Dad's things when he passed away, just over 30 years ago now.
John & Sarah Fox were my paternal great grandparents and their second child, Arthur, my grandad who died shortly before I was born in 1953. As you can see, John & Sarah had a typically large Victorian family and their share of infant mortality with their first child dying at just over 2 months and their last before she was 2.
My dad was christened Arthur John but was always known as John.
This photocopy of the original is one of the few ties I have with my ancestors.
We've had a fairly routine Monday: a bit of gardening, bread baking and a swim with Keep Fat to come tonight.
