A useful addition

It has to be said that an horologist has little use for an anvil. Thumping watches and clocks is not advisable!  However, there are a few occasions when metal has to be spread and so I was pleased when C. who was packing up his house, offered me this very heavy wheelwright ornament.  The miniature anvil is just what I require and has come in handy.
It has rained all day but I barely noticed as Citizens Advice was as busy as I have ever known it. It seems that other agencies are being cut back so hard that they just refer on to voluntary services.  Many people come in with complicated forms that they cannot understand or fill in and receive no help or advice from the form giver.
