Snail's Pace

Why did the snail cross the very stony track, from one side of hectares of undergrowth to the other side with hectares of undergrowth?

Whitsun public holiday in Germany and I guess much of sensible Europe. Did see a Tweet from an English lady visiting France and upset the post-office was closed for no apparent reason. She couldn't work out how there could be a bank holiday in June as they all happen every year in May. She asked the person at the tobacco kiosk. They simply answered it was too complicated to explain.

Is it only the British Isles that make up the days of bank holidays to fit taking days off work?

When are Christmas & Boxing Day when 25th December is a Saturday?
Answers please on a postcard by 24th December 2021. By that time either the UK will have brexited or Royal Mail re-nationalised and probably on strike. 


Luna & I on a late evening walk after a mixed weather day that included sun & warmth but also lightning warnings. Ended up raining in the afternoon. We didn't manage to get out until 8 pm but despite clouds, still very light. My daughter in Ireland has been complaining about getting chickens and children to bed at a reasonable time of night with the sun still shining.
