HOW I LOVED THE BEAUTIFUL SUNRISE
this morning. The sun peeping over the hilltop. How promising this looked.
Piet Hein took some pictures. I am not at all good in sunrises or sunsets but both Mischa and I admire Piet Hein's skies and as with us all there is development in his pictures, (almost?) every day one for flickr, till I think he has confidence to join us in Blipland. As I started with my little camera, he has the panasonic now for himself.
In the sunlight I followed the birds that came to eat and the blackbird has to be my blip as she let me fairly close by, that absorbed by the food she was.
High time after that to start a walk with Mischa. First along the forest, a familiar walk, and we wanted to come back by the path along the Weser. Coming through the train tunnel we saw that was no option. Path under water!
Walking back till the other tunnel, visiting the sheep that always run away but not now, I had brought carrots and they came quickly towards us, they did not care however for the carrots and retreated higher up.
At the other side of the river we noticed a row of cormorants, they flew away swiftly seeing us.
It had started to rain while we walked. And 50 meters of our path was flooded and with a bit of strain we stepped upon the slope till we reached the dry side again.
Coming home the clouds parted to let the sun shine for some time nicely.
My haiku:
Candles lit again
Where sleeps the blackbird in the dark
Alone or together?
And the proverb by Young:
Where boasting ends there dignity begins.
