Pyongyang bound
So Sarah's daughter said one morning have you seen the trip advertised that will be going by train from Wigan to North Korea by way of theTrans-Siberian Express. across the marxist-leninist northern hemisphere. Well it was the promise of free pies and can of Vimto at the outset which was the clincher, and in a sudden rush of blood to the head I booked it for next April, knowing that Sarah had always wanted to visit North Korea for reasons I could never quite grasp. Still it will make a change when it comes to the challenge of the daily blip. (Wigan for non-Brits is a legendary town near Manchester famous for Rugby League and the iconic Wigan Pier of George Orwell fame - altogether a very socialist start to our adventure.}
