Gigha
We had rain last night, the first since leaving Kilmarnock, this morning again dawned bright and dry. So with a favourable forecast we set of for the ferry to Gigha, leaving the cars behind and traveling as foot passengers.
Our plan was for the bulk of the crew to navigate the southern end of the Island while I returned to the ruins of the St.Cathan's church and Kilchattan burial ground. Lunch was taken on mass at the south jetty they away they went.
The main Blip is the bay nearest the ferry jetty in possibly the best of the days sunshine. Extras include the spectacular window in the church, a fabulous tin shed and a couple of amusing signs!
Before the return ferry trip we regrouped for tea and cake in The Gallery, all home made and excellent! The crossing home was grey and cool but certainly cannot complain.
