Pillar Of The Earth?

I have just finished reading the enormous tome that is Pillars Of The Earth (Al's choice for our book club of ... err, two people). It was a struggle I admit. I thought that the story and idea was good but it did go on and on and on and on ......

However, we are now so much more educated about the architecture and construction of cathedrals! So, having dropped the car off at a garage in Elgin this morning to get my brakes and tyres tip top for winter, I decided to wander back to Mum's house via the cathedral and view it with my new, knowledgeable eyes! I saw this headstone as I walked around the perimeter of the grounds and I found it very moving.
