The little fox in our garden

Well, I have learned something today, as I had no idea about the name of this butterfly (better in large). Interesting to see that the name in german (kleiner Fuchs / little fox) is quite different from the English name "small tortoiseshell". 

Nice to see this visitor in our garden. One advantage of having nettles in the hedge nearby (eggs are laid on the common nettle, on which the larvae feed).
