Red bananas

I sampled a piece if red banana in the fruit and vege shop. It looked and tasted like a yellow banana but maybe the flesh had a hint if apricot colour.

So I brought red instead of yellow bananas this week. The trouble is that I don't know how to tell when red bananas are ripe. I'll look on google.

Today has been unpleasantly foggy and breezy from the nor'east. It could be a lot colder but it was bad enough outside for an hour with my garden designer.

It will rain tomorrow and on Sunday afternoon I'll have remedial garden work to do instead of tramping in the mountains. That's what it takes to successfully establish a new garden.
