Difficult choice....

Civil war or art ? When you can’t decide you have to do both. First we visited the history show in Campbell Park, where a lot of people watched enactors battling with pikes and guns..... fortunately no one got shot for real. Then we went to the Paula Rego Exhibition, which was impressive. I liked her massive pastels, although some somber subjects. I particularly liked her triptych inspired by Hogarth showing the two mothers arranging the marriage, a scene in a hairdressers and finally the wife and husband rather worse for wear. Some of her pictures are difficult to understand!
And we didn’t get wet either!
