The reason for us visiting Granada, the Alhambra!

What can I say? The last and greatest Moorish Palace Of Europe. It’s a walled city and takes a full day to explore it. It’s beauty takes your breath away and looking back at pictures they cannot adequately portray the exquisiteness of the palace. The only part you need a ticket for is the Nazrid palace, which you have to be on the ball three months before when they are released. You cannot rock up on the day and expect to get in here. We chose an early 10am tour which was glad of as it meant we could then take the rest of the afternoon to explore the Generalife gardens. One of the best I have ever seen.

We took the whole day here and walked back down the hill to our apartment for a freshen up and our for some food before going back up the hill again for a night visit to the Nazrid palace. It was stunning seeing it lit up and bonus was less people .

One of the highlights of our trip and we were exhausted by the end of the day - over 23k steps walked
