Forde Abbey

This afternoon we took M in L out for a trip to Forde Abbey as we thought it would be a nice drive (as she’s in a home she loves a drive ) and we could have a cup of tea. It was an hour each way and she really enjoyed it but when we got there we found that the cafe was within the gardens and not possible to visit without paying to see the gardens. There is no way she could do the walk ( she’s 92!) so we stopped off in a little village and had a lovely tea in a community run shop. So all turned out well in the end!
