Furry intruders
These furry creatures are by no means family friends, yet they seem bent on taking over, though seldom venturing this close.
With woodland next door I guess it is not really surprising we should see the odd squirrel now and again, but they seem determined to make their presence felt.
Trouble is the pesky little varmits show little fear in leaping from the branches of nearest trees onto our roof, and then worming their way into the roof! Once there there’s no telling what damage they might wreak.
We’ve found books stored in the roof showing evidence of being chewed, and on one occasion a complete nest of young ones was discovered in the roof. Twice we’ve had boughs which reach towards the house removed and for a while we have been free from the intrusion squirrels, but I fear they are back again.
As we’ve seen today they are showing little fear of coming close again! More action will be called for.
