The accidental finding

Another book I liked

Yes, it's a young adult novel, but the weather was so-so, and it was Sunday, so I spent a considerable amount of time in bed finishing the book. I feel we've gone back to winter.

John Green is not afraid to talk about the big questions facing young people: life, love, sex, death. Do we ever figure it out?

The book was criticised in 2005 for sexual references, and for portraying youth at boarding school as being boozers and smokers, and for being boring. Having attended a boring boarding school in a rural area in the 1970s, I can confirm that the accounts of smoking and drinking ring true. As for sexual references, we'd have studied them closely to find out as as much as we could, while pretending that we knew it all!
