Solomons Island Paddle
Today we put our boats in under the Gov. Thomas Johnson Bridge in Solomons Island. We paddled out around the promenade and then came back and landed on a beach near an ice cream stand with yummy soft serve. There was a nice family there that had a little boy with whom our grandson had a great time playing. The boys found a little baby crab and were delighted with themselves. We all had soft serve vanilla as we played on the beach. What a fun afternoon!
The bouncy waves made it difficult to get anything to focus, but this one seagull stood his ground long enough for me to attempt a photo. I had to use manual focus as the chop in the water was too much for auto.
Meantime, the Growlers out of Patuxent Naval Air Station across the water (extra) were doing something and we got quite an airshow. I put a photo in the extras. It was flying incredibly fast. I didn't know if It was even in the shot until I looked at the computer later.
