About a year ago two large goldfish (golden carp) thought that they would quite like to come to our pond and have stayed ever since.

They are called "Chunkie" and "Wanda".  For many years we have failed to have any fish in this pond due to the predations of Harry Heron.

Even he, however, has blanched at the thought of taking on my chums and they live a happy and contented life here.

Yes you will have guessed it, they are camera shy, and despite my best endeavours, remain below the surface today.

However we are enjoying the flowering period of the flag iris....
