The blue lagoon

When Mealz was at primary school she went on an outdoor activity week with her school to Pembrokeshire....and one of the places she remembers being beautiful was 'The Blue Lagoon' at Abereiddi.  
Trusting Amelia's opinion, we  parked up at Porthgain (extra) and walked the beautiful coastal path to Abereiddi, tiptoeing amongst the oh so pretty drifts of sea thrift (extra) to the sound of waves and skylarks.  
Amelia was right, quite a stunning sight to see the azure of the lagoon, with a bonus kayaker in too.  What a fascinating history the area has of slate quarries and brick works and how intriguing the silent ruins are of a bustling bygone industry.
Hoping to get to Skomer Island tomorrow to see the puffins....getting tickets is a challenge it seems.....we'll see :))
