Another day in the christmas break flashes past - where does the time go to?

I took a walk across the fields late afternoon - very much as expected and very wet. The river Anker was flowing very fast and less than six inches under the bridge where normally its getting on for three feet.

There were quite a few out, many with dogs but just a few out for their own recreation. If they've any sense, they'd probably stopped at the Lime Kilns pub about 1 1/2 miles from here. Not the weather for sitting outside by the canal though.

This shot is just the kind of image I was looking for - heavy leaden sky, wet ground and fields, and, just in time, this couple walked past.
