Another Day at the Day Job

On my way to the Scottish Parliament I ran into an old friend. We worked together 19 years ago and it’s always if no time at all has passed.

We were both struck by how there were more police than Extinction Rebellion protesters, and the presence of the protesters made security far more exhaustive (they checked my pencil case!) but the security guards are like everyone else who works at the Parliament - unfailingly polite, pleasant and helpful.

I was there to support my Minister at a reception for Motor Neurone Disease Scotland. What a remarkable group of people with stories that are humbling. They are imagining a cure and I hope their clinical trials find it.
