20 years ago...

...today I left Canada to move to Scotland. I had dinner with my two oldest* Scottish friends to mark the occasion. We had a lovely evening but they forgot to give me the Certificate of Very Nearly Scottish. Do I have to wait another 20 years?

* The two friends I have known the longest in Scotland. Despite their best attempts at playing the ‘grumpy old man’ stereotype, neither of them is particularly old.
