Diary of an Edinburgher

Run, Archie!

Another sunny warm(ish) day! Almost like summer.

Jordan didn’t come this morning, too busy with work (he 'works at home' on Fridays). But Archie doesn’t know when it's Friday. So we took him up the hill. Well, we drove there. And I walked a wee way up, with Archie running (quite far) between us. Until he couldn’t be bothered any more, of course. The others then walked up to the summit, while I toddled off to the low bench to await them appearing on the horizon, then I blew my whistle and Archie ran all the way down, full tilt. A couple of people sitting nearby were very impressed.

JR went to the supermarket to stock up on carrots - she got twice as many as last time! I watched tennis.

We did sit out the back for a while too. I'm SO pleased we have the promise of a dry sunny weekend because it's the Royal Highland Show, and they often end up in mud.

Meant to mention yesterday - the usual questions in the hospital - ‘Do you smoke? Have you ever smoked?' But there seems to be a new one - 'Have you ever taken illegal drugs?' Of course I answered, ''No.'

But then I admitted an incident in Kathmandu in 1975. He said that didn’t count. *Phew*
