Sutton Coldfield Art Trail

Every year, a large group of local artists exhibit their work in various gardens. The gardens are beautiful and a wonderful setting for the stunning paintings and sculpture.

I started with my friend’s lovely home, in sparkling sunshine. In the past I have bought two of her watercolour and Indian ink paintings and they are in my lounge. She has now ventured more into glass and I fell in love with two of the works she had on view.

The only reason I didn’t write her a cheque immediately was that I couldn’t decide between them. The slightly larger work is just to the left of the table in my photo - the higher of the two exhibits.

I know it was a risk. Both may be snapped up. But I love the colours and style that she is now exploring and I will be keen to see how this develops.
